Basically, what is required is a generic upscaler that can accept video signals from several interfaces and output HDMI or component video to a HD TV. This may happen in the future with greater adoption of HDMI. Currently, many set-top boxes have the old SCART and other interfaces. Happy New Year Swapnil.
